Sword in the Desert plot

Cynical freighter captain Mike Dillon helps some Jews escape to pre-Israel Palestine. However, he does not do this out of charity, but rather for the money he gets. He is therefore against his will involved in a fight between the British and the original inhabitants of Palestine. Dillon tries to find himself in between the two camps, but he won't be able to keep this up for long, so he'll have to choose a side.
