Chistoe Nebo plot

"The Most Important Motion Picture That Has Ever Come From The Soviet Union"

Russian fighter pilot Aleksei Astakhov is shot down by the Germans during World War II. He survives the crash and remains in captivity until the end of the war. Afterwards, wounded but alive, he is suspected of treason and collaboration with the Germans. As a result, he is expelled from the Communist Party.
