The Tempest plot
Prospera (Helen Mirren) lives on a deserted island with her daughter Miranda (Felicity Jones). She is banished from her duchy by her brother and the king of Naples. Providence, led by the angel Ariel (Ben Wishaw), brings her enemies close, and Prospera unleashes a storm that strands the ship. She captures Ferdinand, the king's son. But Ferdinand (Russell Brand) and Miranda fall in love. Meanwhile, Prospera's brother and the king are wandering around the island and, together with Caliban (Djimon Hounsou) – Prospera's slave – devise a plan to kill Prospera.
