Melanie Stone (Sarah Wynter) is neglected by her husband Tom (Eric Breker), a prison warden with political ambitions. When Tom tries to increase his power beyond the prison walls, Melanie becomes a nuisance and hatches a plan to get an inmate to kill her. Jack Carlson (Andrew W. Walker), the man he believes to be a dangerous killer, is innocent behind bars. He takes Melanie hostage in hopes of clearing his name. On the run from the law, the couple form a close bond and vow to put Tom behind bars.
