Mi Ricordo Anna Frank plot
Film based on the book by Alison Leslie Gold, the American writer who, forty years after the end of the Second World War, collected and wrote down the stories of one of Anne Frank's best friends, Hanneli Goslar. Hanneli talks about their first meeting in Amsterdam and daily life there, about how the two German families left Germany, the beginning of the anti-Jewish laws, the German occupation, the gradual disappearance of family and friends and their sudden separation when the family Frank decided to go into hiding in the Secret Annex, behind the offices of father Frank's company. Hanneli also talks about the futile attempts to contact Anne, because she was under the illusion that they were traveling to Switzerland, and also about the later disappointment, because she was not aware of her friend going into hiding.
