Yip Man Chin Chyun plot
Foshan in China, 1905. The young Ip Man attends the school of martial arts master Chan Wah-Shun, who introduces him to the basics of the Wing-Chun technique. After Chan's sudden death, his colleague Ng Chung-So takes over the school and helps Ip Man to develop. In Hong Kong, Ip Man meets the old Leung-Bik, who teaches him new aspects of Wing-Chun. This leads to a conflict with Ng that pits Ip Man against his adoptive brother Ip Tin-Chi, who carries a big secret that could threaten the entire nation.

Watched this one now too. Saw part 1 and 2 first. Donnie Yen was superior there, and there was also a lot of epic in these films. Fight scenes in this movie are very strong, but the plot is a bit less interesting, and the romance didn't really grab me here either.
It's nice to see IP grow up and how he picks up his way of Wing Chun. So worth checking out if you've already seen 1 and 2 or want to see them. 3.5*

I thoroughly enjoyed watching parts 1, 2 and 3, and I appreciated that part 3 actually added a good bit of drama.
This version, which is considered by many people as the prequel, lacks that bit of depth, also in a historical sense I think.
The shell of martial arts can be called strong, but in content it is almost empty. Tight enough. *3.0

Little uplifting film. The story makes no sense, but that's not the worst part. It was also a bit chaotic and (partly because of that) hardly interested me. The protagonist is not charismatic enough and the many fights are often the same and do not captivate for the full duration. In terms of time frame still ok. 1.5*.
