"Set your sights on revenge"
Curtie Church is a professional mercenary who leaves for Thailand on a perilous mission: to take out a gang of people smugglers. With the help of an unscrupulous arms dealer, he tracks down the gang. But as Church takes out the gang members one by one, he makes a shocking discovery about his client. A bloody gang war is raging and Church is in the middle of it. Can he fight his way out of this?

Pinkaew on home turf, but with American influences.
It makes for a somewhat crazy combination. Especially because Hounsou lacks some charisma to carry the film and Bacon goes down from a completely failed accent (but seriously, what the fuck 
). It's up to Pinkaew then to save the film.
Don't expect martial arts, the stairs are limited, there is mainly a number of firefights and chases. They are pretty cool, but Pinkaew is capable of more. Without a nimble lead, however, his style suffers.
Think that the low score is mainly due to the floating additions. They are normally not in American action films, she personally did not even find it really disturbing here. Makes for some atmospheric moments. Visually fine, nice use of color, only the camera work could have been a little better.
Simple action film with a message, fast entertainment, but never rises above the average.

This is a very good movie. Maybe even the best film of 2011 for me. I can't imagine that this film is so poorly rated, but the numbers don't lie.
