With another high ranking in the top 1000 but once again taken out of the closet.

Quite artificial film that - by the way is quite entertaining but really a mess - for reasons incomprehensible to me has been very well received here and has built up a great reputation. Characters make really ridiculous choices and the movie takes itself way too seriously. I would have preferred a light action spectacle. Too many twists, too many screaming people, too much slow motion, too much repetition of Radiohead and The XX, too much of everything really.

Extremely fascinating psychological thriller of Japanese origin. The opening scene in the class in particular was quite chilling, with the teacher emotionlessly labeling the accident with her deceased child as a murder. In doing so, she calmly displays the modus operandi and openly tells who is responsible for her daughter's death.

In addition, the law for minors and their inviolability are cleverly woven into the film, giving it a social moral touch. The film is very fragmentary and built up with flashbacks. However, the narrative structure remains clear. The editing is well put together and the film is also top notch.

Throughout the movie the tension is cut. Really enjoyed this gem. It is perhaps sometimes a bit too thick, where it seems as if half the class is psychopathic, but otherwise very little to criticize. Thick 4.0*!

Wow what a great movie this was to me, okay I have been able to appreciate many Japanese films in the past and I am weak for it. Very bizarre that this one slipped away from me in those 12 years . The drama-thriller genre, which this film is labeled, is therefore executed to perfection, with a wonderfully dark and even mysterious edge around it and extremely intriguing. Also really enjoyed the great cast, where the maximum was made of every character. Also firmly glued to my screen, because of the extremely fascinating story, the atmosphere and audiovisual it was also tiptop. Yes, I loved everything about this movie. So also the logical maximum score of 10/10. Highly recommended and a must for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
