The Tree plot
"Life is a force of nature"
After her father's sudden death, 8-year-old Simone entrusts her mother Dawn with a secret. She is convinced that her father is whispering to her through the leaves of her favorite tree and that he has come back to watch over them. But the new bond between mother and daughter is threatened when Dawn begins a relationship with George, the plumber who is called in to remove the roots of the tree. As the branches of the tree extend into the house and the roots threaten to destroy the foundations, the family must make a horrifying but ultimately liberating choice.
