"BEERY and MAIN are partners in crime!...in comedy!"
The year is 1820. Big Jack Horner and Flapjack Kate are outlaws. Both save the foresighted young doctor Alexander Meade. Meade, who was about to be lynched, is a tireless fighter for modern surgical methods, forcing him to steal dead bodies for his experiments. Big Jack is only interested in Meade because he has to take care of his injured leg. However, Big Jack soon becomes fascinated with Meade's work through his driven idealism.
