I am a huge fan of these kinds of movies but I can't say that this one was worse than Paranormal Activity 1 or 2 I actually thought this one was much better I saw PA 2 yesterday but really nothing happens in it only the ending is nice and exciting, but this movie starts from the beginning with events in the house indeed I agree with people that the acting was not very high level only that of Erin Marie Hogan was quite good and indeed it looked like a vacation home but for the rest much better than PA1 or PA 2 definitely worthy of a 4

There are a few goosebump moments, but overall I find the film disappointing.

There isn't really a story, and with knocking on the door and tapping on the wall, a

The film didn't interest me, so I was drawn away (even if only for a few minutes).

Now you can imagine how exciting it was, watch out for a ghost behind you!

The camera work in these kinds of films also gets boring quickly.

Bad copy.

The makers of this film must have been thinking, "How can we make the original, cheap film look even cheaper?" If that was their goal, then this film is a resounding success. Or can it also immediately be placed in a class above the original? I doubt it.

For years, Asylum films have been known for almost completely copying original concepts, and this film is no different. However, it looks especially stale, as the editors apparently didn't even bother to add any features that would make the security footage look like actual security footage.

The acting is otherwise lackluster and the horror is distant. The dark corners reveal the most atmosphere, but otherwise, this copy is mainly limited by the frequent use of the knocking ghost cliché. That concept has been repeated quite a bit by now, but when you can't even do anything with it, that's when it really starts to become a problem. In this way, the film meanders along without ever becoming even remotely exciting.

Paranormal Entity has apparently raised the studio's profile, as it's one of its earlier films, but I wouldn't take that as a compliment. It simply means that you can become successful simply by copying concepts. It's been happening in the film industry for decades, of course, but few films make it as clear as this one.

Completely broken in terms of horror, unentertaining, lacking atmosphere, and suffering from a significant lack of horror variety. Some distant noises and banging on the pans below are supposed to make the horror scenes a bit scarier, but they fail miserably. Extra points for the decent set design and some decent lighting. There are certainly dark corners, which sometimes create a nice atmosphere. Otherwise, it's just plain awful.
