This film is certainly not a rom-com and the comedy/drama genre does not fit well either. It can rather be called a tragicomedy, but this site does not know that genre.

Actually a bit of a frieze theme to build a comedy with. spoiler

Moreover, the story is such that you can safely skip a lot. It's that predictable. After all, the funny (?) scenes in between are top shelf clichés.

A romcom with some drama in it, which is quite unusual for the genre, but it is refreshing and the drama doesn't get through very heavy either. The problem I have with this movie is that it feels incredible to me that the main characters end up with each other. The whole premise is correct that they are totally incompatible as romantic partners. If the female protagonist also puts her perfect doctor aside for the male protagonist, I don't understand her at all anymore. So the film doesn't sell well. And then there's also a rush-to-the-airport-before-the-other-departure scene, one such horribly annoying cliché, which completely knocks me out. 1*.
