Ein Traum in Erdbeerfolie plot

Long before the Wall came down, in the eighties of the last century, a group of artistic young people was already celebrating freedom in East Berlin. They resist the communist straitjacket with rebellious fashion shows. The most important characteristic of the scene was the development of its own style, because style was not 'for sale' in the Eastern Bloc countries. The fashion showed all the hallmarks of the typical eighties style from Western Europe, but with an East Berlin twist: punky, with lots of leather, lots of black, and lots of bright colors, broad-shouldered silhouettes, and of course extravagant hair. Director Marco Wilms experienced it all up close at the time. In this film he travels back in time, in search of his vibrant bohemian existence of yesteryear.
