Der Tote im Spreewald plot
The body of ferryman Daniel Bartko is found in a canal in Spreewald and apparently he was imprisoned in an iron structure. It is believed that in this region Polish trappers were at work. Commissioner Thorsten Krüger learns that even in the days of the GDR, beavers were bred in the Spreewald area for their coveted fur. During the pathological examination it appears that Bartko only entered the iron construction after his death. The investigation is very difficult, especially when it turns out that Bartkos assaulted his pregnant wife Tanja in a bar. Shortly afterwards, Tanya's father, the local forest ranger, is shot while on duty and still nothing gets done.
