Engelen plot

"There's no louder cry than being a heroin addict."

Lea grows up without protection. She sees her life as a cheerful, curious girl quickly change when her mother returns to her ex-husband Ole. Their destructive relationship has damaging effects on the child growing up between them. Lea seeks solace in alcohol. Then Lea gets a daughter, Sonja. She wants to break with her family and start a new life. She wants to raise her child with the protection she never had herself. But Lea soon realizes she doesn't have these options and must make an impossible decision.
