Yomigaeri no Chi plot
The Middle Ages, gods and demons have a greater dominion than the people. Oguri Hangan (Tatsuya Nakamura), a famous masseur, is summoned to the castle of the ruler of the "Dark World". The Ruler, as he is known, suffers from a sexual ailment that Oguri must remedy. After encouraging the imprisoned princess Terute (Mayuu Kusakari) to escape and before he can escape himself, Oguri is poisoned by the nefarious Ruler. Oguri dies and arrives at the T-junction between Heaven and Hell. He is sent back to the living world as a "gaki" (hungry ghost, not dead but not alive either). A traveling monk takes care of him and tells him about the source of rebirth in the holy land of Kumano. Oguri travels to Kumano while the escaped Terute joins him. But the Ruler is hot on their heels, not going to let Terute just go and punish her...
