"Youth Is Wasted On The Young."
Set against the backdrop of protests against the Vietnam War and the reintroduction of a pre-war imperialist holiday, Ôshima in this improvised film examines the political apathy of young people who are only interested in sex and bawdy songs. They remain indifferent to the death of a teacher with whom they spent a night in a hotel and fantasize about how they would like to rape a girl - "No. 469".
