This 'film' is simply a lifeline from the organizers to soften the financial flop of the canceled London concerts. I watched it, but really I only recommend this to the real Jackson fans. You actually see what the London concerts would be like, only then 'bare': with rehearsal mistakes, without the concert clothing and decoration. But with a little peek behind the scenes. Unfortunately, all the participating artists and dancers are logically quite uncritical Jackson adept. You actually see little news: Jackson sings well, dances his overrated dances (lots of pirouettes and spastic movements) and sings his hits that we have heard too often after his death.

I was therefore glad that this uninteresting hype project was over, but the Jackson fan will undoubtedly disagree with me. Jackson is a nice artist for me, who was offered beautiful hits by good producers. In This Is It he occasionally shows that he has musical insight, but it cannot be called innovative or really interesting.

However, he also remains the mild-mannered, unserious and childish character. Take his laughable sentence "If we don't act now, the world will end in four years". Don't get me wrong; I appreciate his worries about the world, but I think he is a typical person a lot of yelling little wool. What do you think the construction of Neverland alone caused to Co2? Since I personally don't have a clear idea of the effect of Co2 yet, I don't blame him in the least. But then he shouldn't always be screaming murder and fire about the world that is coming to an end. Let's hope some dollars from This Is It go to WWF, but I don't have much faith in that

This documentary captivated me more than expected. I loved watching the performances. I don't like the songs in general, but they are fine to listen to. Michael Jackson was a huge perfectionist and a hard worker. There is, of course, a lot of fuss about potential sexual abuse right now, but I've tried not to think about that too much when watching this documentary, as that's not what it's about and I don't want it to influence my rating. I enjoyed myself with this documentary and I liked to see how the concerts were being worked up, but no more than that. A 7. 3.5*

Finally watched this movie. All beautiful to see and apparently it could cost something.

MJ thought it was all wonderful. Every now and then you hear and see what he actually wanted. His person is (so) not really clear in it, no conversations or anything that would show his 'vision' (yes, about nature, but I think that's such an open door, he's really not unique in that). Genius? Not really during his life, from his dramatic death all the more, apparently that's how it goes. His whole environment in the film thinks he's great in everything he does, which I find a bit unbelievable, there must have been quite a heated discussion. It all comes across as a bit bland.
