"In 1991, filmmaker John Hughes disappeared from Hollywood. In 2008, four filmmakers went to find him."

In 1991, screenwriter and director John Hughes, known for films such as The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Weird Science, disappeared from Hollywood. A group of filmmakers wonders where he has gone and how he is doing now and decides to look for the filmmaker. Along the way, they talk to several people about Hughes, including actors from his movies.
