"Branding their outlaw names ... into the fiery fame of the West !"

Itinerant Sam Bass arrives in Denton, Texas. Sam hopes to find work in Denton, but takes part in a horse race first. Before long, the attractive Katherine, manager and daughter of Sheriff Will Egan, falls in love with him. But the wild Calamity Jane also falls in love with Sam. Sam is very successful in horse racing and also with the young ladies in Denton. But Sam is increasingly turning to the criminal path. Will Calamity Jane and Katherine remain faithful to him?
