After the death of her husband Lothar, Gila Maibach is horrified to learn that a complete stranger has inherited half of her house. This Maja turns out to be Lothar's secret daughter. Since Gila has no money for the woman's inheritance, the pregnant Maja moves in with her, along with her son Max.
