To Be and Not to Be: Het Philharmonisch Orkest Teheran plot

Director Frank Scheffer follows the Iranian composer and conductor Nader Mashayekhi who returns to his homeland after 30 years to realize his dream in Tehran: to found a symphony orchestra with which he can perform both modern Western and traditional Persian music. The film shows how the young musicians perform and experience Western music. This creates a different picture of Iranian society than we usually see.
