Zbehovia a Pútnici plot
The horrors of war are central to this three-segment film. The first segment is set during the First World War. A gypsy deserts to attend a wedding in his hometown. To avoid recognition by the hussars, he dresses up as a woman. When a hussar finally recognizes him, a chain of violence ensues. The second segment is set at the end of World War II. Russian partisans execute a man suspected of collaborating with the Germans. When they hear that the war is over, they celebrate exuberance. A German patrol encounters the revelers, unaware that the war has already ended. The last segment is set after a major nuclear war. Two survivors go in search of other survivors.
