"Cold-Blooded Killers versus A RED-BLOODED MAN OF ACTION!"

Bill Harmon receives a letter from his partner Dave MacRoy, stating that he has stumbled upon a rich vein of gold in their California mine. When Bill arrives, he learns from old miner John Benton that Dave is dead and he sold the mine to Doc Ryan for a very cheap price the night before his unexpected death. The benevolent and respected physician 'Doc' Ryan hands Bill a written statement, prepared and endorsed by Dave, as proof of transfer of the mine. Doc, alarmed by Bill's arrival and suspicious, orders his henchmen to kill Bill. Red Synder provokes a conflict with Bill by harassing John Benton's daughter Joan. During the ensuing firefight, Red is killed by a ruse by Doc's henchmen and Bill is blamed for it. Bill is captured, but manages to escape and disrupts a secret meeting between Doc and local gunsmith Trigger Chandler, one of his gang members.
