17-year-old Kei joins a karate dojo. She is very talented and athletic and quickly outperforms the boys in her class. Despite this, Matsumara, her teacher, refuses to give her the black belt. It is clear that Kei is only interested in fighting. Matsumara wants Kei to realize that Karate is more than just fighting. However, Kei grows impatient as she knows she has the abilities to earn the coveted black belt. Her resentment towards her teacher grows. On the advice of her boyfriend, she joins a rival group of fighters. However, the leader of the group plans to attack Matsumara.
