Uncle Silas plot

England, 1845. 17-year-old Caroline Ruthyn nurses her dying father Austin Ruthyn. He has enough faith in his controversial brother Silas, despite being suspected of murder, he takes care of Caroline after his death. The naive Caroline soon learns that her uncle Silas, with the help of the corrupt governess Madame de la Rougierre, plans to kill her in order to take the family's fortune. Young Tom Ruthyn doesn't trust Silas and tries to warn his sister.
