A beautiful gem from the RKO stable! A fantasy with underlying themes of coming to age and parenthood. As a successor to Cat People I expected a completely different kind of - horror - film, but this is certainly a pleasant surprise. Beautiful creation of atmosphere, wonderful acting performance by Ann Carter as the young Amy and a graceful Simone Simon who gets the opportunity to perform a French chanson. And it also ends like a Capra film in full Christmas atmosphere. love it!

Wow, I had no idea this was a sequel. Anyway, the story unfolds very smoothly and it is sometimes nice to watch a compact film of only 70 minutes. I really don't get why people don't choose this length more often.

But yes, even though that story is easy, that unfortunately does not mean that it is very fascinating. The acting is also no more than average.
