Monolith plot
"Technology can be your best friend or your worst enemy."
Sandra has just bought a new car: the "Monolith". This car has been called the safest SUV ever. The car can only be opened via an app on a mobile phone and is comparable in security to a tank. Sandra and her 2-year-old son David are driving through the desert at night. The two are on their way to Los Angeles to visit Sandra's husband. Sandra is jealous and wants to know if he is cheating. Sandra accidentally runs into a deer and stops to inspect the damage. When David gets stuck in the car, Sandra must find a way to free him. The desert is a dangerous location and it can get very hot in the car. So she doesn't have much time...

Watched it today on Blu-ray, in English, but otherwise it was easy to follow since they rarely talk in these kinds of films.
A woman and her son are on their way to visit her husband in a luxury car that responds to a phone app. But while they're on the highway in the middle of the desert, she hits a deer and they come to a standstill. She gets out to look, and then the car doors slam shut with her son still in the back.
It's getting hotter in the car, so she decides to go out and get a phone and some other things, leaving her son alone in the car...
Everything she tries seems hopeless so she makes a drastic decision she pushes her car into the ravine hoping the car will react to this, it succeeds and the doors are suddenly open, she first goes to take care of her son and then she sees that the car suddenly starts again and from then on she drives very fast up a steep hill to get back on the road...
The characters you see at the beginning don't have a role, like the three girls and the boy. Before this film gets going, half an hour has passed.
There isn't much more to be gained from this, so the film remained quite short. It was reasonably entertaining, as you still want to know how it ends.
All in all a reasonable film
