Tarzan and the Mermaids plot
"TARZAN DEFIES THE MAN-GOD'S TERROR - to Save the Queen of Pearl-Divers!"
In an unknown remote part of Africa live the Aquatigans, a coastal people who worship their living god Balu. The area is rich in pearls which are offered to the god. The only one who can bring Balu back to life is the high priest Palanth. He forces young Mara to marry the god Balu, but she is already in love with someone else and manages to escape. She ends up with Tarzan and Jane, but her people have not forgotten her and have sent warriors to retrieve her.

This too was a good Tarzan movie. Jane was succeeded this time by Brenda Joyce who (if I'm not mistaken) didn't become very familiar with this role. Too bad, because she wasn't bad.
I thought the many swimming scenes were cool, especially when all kinds of people jumped off the rocks. Despite Weismuller's decline, I didn't think this was a bad film, so I give it a 3.5.
