The Painted Smile plot
After college student Tom goes out for a night with friends, the now drunk Tom goes with Jo Lake to her apartment in London. In the bedroom both find Jo's friend Mark, tortured to death by the criminal Kleinie. The frightened and desperate Jo threatens to report Tom if he doesn't help her remove the dead body. It doesn't take long for the police to consider Tom the prime suspect. Tom must quickly find Jo so she can exonerate him.
