The Reckoning: The Battle for the International Criminal Court plot

Many of the worst crimes still go unpunished. The International Criminal Court in The Hague, which started in 2002, is the most ambitious attempt to change this. The Court is the first permanent court to prosecute individuals for crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide. We follow Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo and his colleagues as they try to bring war criminals to justice. However, it turns out to be anything but easy to hold warlords from the Democratic Republic of Congo or the President of Sudan to account. Without the support of the international community, the International Criminal Court is nowhere. And that's exactly where the shoe pinches. Because leading countries such as the United States, China and Russia do not recognize the Court.
