Whisky Galore plot
The inhabitants of the isolated Scottish island of Todday are not aware of the rationing caused by the war, until whiskey is no longer supplied to the island. Life on the island goes on, but without their beloved drink. Then one night the freighter SS Cabinet Minister runs aground in the thick fog and begins to sink. Biffer and Sammy are alerted to the nearby catastrophe and row towards it. They discover that the ship was loaded with 50,000 bottles of whiskey and was on its way to America. Soon a 'rescue' is launched.
