Pretty okay.

Despite my low expectations I still wanted to see this one. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a nice atmospheric film with an entertaining plot that was well constructed. A lot of stupid actions, but that's part of it. The acting was of course mediocre, but for such a cheesy film as this it wasn't too bad. I have to say that the cheated husband got on my nerves every now and then, but he's forgiven 6/10*

The authentic Halloween atmosphere from the 80s is not to be broken here and saves the film from an even lower score, because this cheap product by director Gary Graver cannot be praised on many points. Very bad acting, especially Jacqueline Giroux does not convince at any moment as the rather wooden babysitter. Chris Graver (the son of the director) is the only one who knows what to do with his role, but also gets by far the nicest character to play. Furthermore, far too little happens in Trick or Treats, with a great lack of tension and progression. It takes a good hour before the horror elements cautiously come around the corner and the final phase that follows is then quite tame. The lack of noteworthy moments is therefore the main killer of this film, despite the nice atmosphere and the light-hearted tone.
