Waffle Street plot
Wall Street hedge fund manager James “Jimmy” Adams (James Lafferty) is fired in the wake of the 2008 stock market crash. He is so upset about his role in the financial crisis that he starts all over again at the bottom of the ladder; as a waiter in a waffle eatery. Though many of his colleagues are former ex-convicts, he nevertheless begins to develop friendships, especially with chef Edward Collins (Danny Glover). Collins becomes something of a mentor to Adams, both professionally and personally.
