Pandora'nin Kutusu plot
When two sisters and a brother, living in Istanbul, receive a call that their elderly mother has disappeared in the Black Sea mountains (where she lives), they temporarily put their own problems in the fridge. However, when the three of them are on their way to Mother, the frustrations quickly surface and one emotional outburst follows the other. For all it is a learning process that eventually brings them closer to each other and to themselves.

I can only echo the comments here. Strong film indeed that draws attention to dementia in a very serene and subdued way. The beginning of the film starts very intriguing when the grandmother suddenly disappears. There is no immediate question of kidnapping, she is simply missing. Wandering probably there in that inhospitable environment of a small local village.
But everyone has his life. The three children, who also regularly squabble with each other and also have their own problems, take care of mom on them, by trial and error. They are therefore confronted with her dementia in all kinds of small facets. Grandma's blankly absent look is confrontational.
The contacts with the grandson were also nice. A film that is close to my heart and in which I was sucked into. Certainly because of the theme, but also the serene approach and the excellent acting of everyone. Strong!
