"Only One Has The Power To Save Their Souls"
The Riverton Ripper, a notorious serial killer, is found and arrested by the police, but manages to escape. He disappears without a trace, but his legend lives on in the small town he came from. Exactly sixteen years later, a group of seven young people from the same town are confronted with this legend. These youngsters were all born on the day the killer disappeared without a trace and now, on their sixteenth birthday, they are suddenly killed one by one. Is the Riverton Ripper back?

Could have this. I see a slightly irritated, cynical, clumsy Craven at work. Whether it was intended that way, or just happened that way... who knows. A big pile of 90's slasher clichés and the most idiotic dialogues. Fuck your fucking unborn baby 
Brilliant. Unfortunately, it was delivered very sloppy and confusing, I can't argue with that. The strict reviews are fair, especially if you link it to its name. But I, like Metalfist, really enjoy this. That's how I like my slashers. Feels like it was made 10-15 years too late

Tried this DVD once, but it wasn't very special. The film starts out rather slow and wasn't always that exciting. The cast did quite well.
The scene with the condor in the class was well done.
Not bad, but not really memorable either.

Later Craven.
It is hard to deny that he has not contributed much to the (film) world as a director. He has been able to put a reasonable amount of classics to his name in the meantime. However, the last few years for him were a bit less, because I thought this was a very mixed result.
It's nice that directors at Craven's age still make an attempt to mix with more contemporary culture. It doesn't work brilliantly, but it does deliver a fairly entertaining film. In any case, you already have a nice basis when you come up with a nice concept to mix the characters with each other.
This movie actually tries to be more than the average horror movie. For example, Craven saddles us with a psychological horror film and a simpler horror film in which some teenagers are killed. The good thing is that Craven manages to get a nice stylized event on the screen when it comes to horror. I could still appreciate the murders, despite not being explicit.
Furthermore, the direction is just a bit too static on the scenes that aren't very action-packed, which is a shame. I've always found the ability of editing and editing from Craven a bit weak, this film proves my argument again. Other roles are also not brilliantly filled, although I could still appreciate Thieriot who, as an insecure guy, still manages to get through.
The movie is not very good. It's a bit bare, not really daring enough and it thinks it is smarter than it actually is, but on the other hand there is an event that is quite interesting and entertaining. They don't come together very well, but I've seen Craven make them less. Then I like to take a My Soul to Take.
