"1971, Vietnam... I came to find you."
The old-fashioned Soon-yi marries into a rural family without any love on his part. But when her husband leaves her by enlisting to fight in the Vietnam War, she wants to prove to him that she is capable and truly loves him. She uses her vocal talent to participate as a singer in a band that sings to tired and wounded soldiers, in the hope that she will meet her husband while she is on tour.
