Drop Dead Gorgeous plot
"The battle between the good and the bad is bound to get ugly."
The local merchants of Mount Rose in Minnesota are organizing a beauty pageant. Gladys, the mother of one of the contenders, is an ex-miss herself and does everything she can to make her daughter win. Daughter Becky is a meaningless spoiled brat who, like her mother, is all about corpses. She's especially good at swearing at the judges. Their counterparts are a mother and daughter from a trailer park. Daughter Amber wants to make a career as a TV reporter and sees this beauty pageant as a stepping stone. Her mother Annette looks like a commoner, but has a heart of gold.

Checked this one out and I didn't like it. He started very promising with the presentation of the various candidates. This was actually the funniest half hour. Then the film fell a bit in terms of humor. I thought the ending was a little too quick to finish it off. The cast didn't do too badly.
Nice video, nothing special, but fun to watch.

In my memory this movie was more fun.
There are certainly a few nice jokes in it, but the sharp edge is just not sharp enough, the black humor is just not black enough. As a result, sometimes a bit bland. On the plus side a lot of then still relatively unknown but stunning actresses. It really doesn't get any more than that. Viewing food for Sunday afternoon.
