Shepherd Henderson (James Stewart) meets Gillian Holroyd (Kim Novak), Greenwich Village's most seductive sorceress. She's powerful, a little bored, and she knows that witches can't fall in love. But they can have fun with it... especially if their loved one belongs to someone else. When Gillian discovers that handsome new neighbor Shepherd is the betrothed of an old foe, she casts a spell on him. But the spell not only made Shepherd's heart beat faster, it thawed hers. And even the mind-reading cat Pyewacket couldn't have foreseen that!
