Eight years ago, Angela, the granddaughter of John Biswas, was kidnapped and murdered, completely derailing him and his wife Nancy. While most have given up hope of ever finding the culprits, John is still convinced that he can one day avenge his granddaughter's death. He tirelessly asks for news about the investigation at the local police station almost every day, but is invariably rejected by the officers. Only ex-police officer Martin Das, who is now a priest, assists John in his search for the criminals.
