"WHEN FLAMING ARROWS WERE THE SCOURGE OF THE DAKOTA TERRITORY!"
Kern Shafter arrives at an army post in Dakota, where his old enemy Edward Garnett is out of duty. Shafter and Garnett hate each other, and feelings for Josephine Russell add to the tension. Garnett watches with sadness as Shafter approaches Josephine and sends him on a dangerous mission, hoping Shafter doesn't return.
