"A lot of TV stations have forgotten what "quality" means, but not Channel 62. They NEVER knew what it meant."

One day he inherits from an uncle an entire regional TV station that is close to death. With the help of his friend Bob and the crazy showmaster Stanley, he tries to get the TV network back on its feet. Their madcap ideas and crazy jokes drive the ratings sky high, much to the dismay of RJ, the boss of competitor Channel 8, who is constantly trying to put sticks between the wheels...

Nice comedy in which a small TV station in financial trouble is run by the nephew of the owner. Actually it is more a series of parodies and sketches. It is all so stupid, lame and exaggerated that it still becomes fun and funny. The leading role is reserved for 'Weird Al' Yankovic, but Michael Richards as Stanley Spadowski certainly plays the funniest role.

Quite a failure.

Following the supplies joke in another topic downloaded and it unfortunately became painfully clear that the film relies on three moments. Rambo, Conan the Librarian and the joke just mentioned.

The main theme of the film is absolutely horrible. I thought there would be more sketches like the one mentioned above, but unfortunately it was mainly 90 minutes of watching a terribly unfunny Weird Al Yankovic, that horrible screamer Kramer from the equally horrible Seinfeld, a very bad attempt at humor and a particularly boringly written film about a shitty TV station.

But what surprised me the most in the end is that people still like this movie. I'm deeply disappointed in MovieMeter at the moment

Mediocre.

Sketchy film by Weird Al Yankovic. Pure slapstick, but that's a toss-up for me. There are some pretty cool things in here too, but just as often the joke just falls flat. Nevertheless, things move along nicely and with its one and a half hour playing time, this is quite manageable as an in-between.
