Murder, He Says plot
Pete Marshall, a pollster at Trotter, is looking for several colleagues who are missing in the countryside. In a remote village, Pete has to deal with the aggressive and maladjusted Fleagle family, who kill anyone they find of no use. Mamie Fleagle and her family are looking for a $70,000 cash stolen by their criminal niece Bonnie Fleagle, and they don't tolerate snoopers like Pete. They recently poisoned their burdened grandmother Fleagle, and the Fleage family plans to do the same with Pete.

Macmurray has to deal with the criminal family Flodder who are trying to find out the location of a large sum of money that has been hidden somewhere in the house by their niece.
A lot of hilarious characters such as Bert and Mert (the not very bright brothers), their mom and a few more make this comedy quite successful, even though the humor is often quite lame.
