Valmont plot

"As unpredictable as love itself."

France, late 18th century. The milieu of the bourgeoisie, which likes to pass its time with amorous intrigues. Especially the Marquise de Merteuil and Valmont, former lovers but now friends, are masters of this game. Madame de Merteuil tries to win over Valmont to her plan: he should turn the head of young Cécile, who has just left boarding school, and lose her virginity. Meanwhile, Valmont is making love to the chaste Madame de Tourvel, the young wife of a judge.
