A bit Bondesque.
This nice action film is initially sufficiently entertaining and has a nice and grim beginning. When the story then becomes a little bit Bondesque with bombardments from helicopters and the monstrous Professor makes his appearance, it becomes noticeable how mediocre this work actually is. While he can barely walk and moves with a hop, he easily overtakes anyone with healthy legs. Roundtree even seems to be in a completely different film and Mako, who may appear again at any time, is just a part of it.

Heroin smugglers killed Norris' boyfriend and girlfriend. The story is of course simple. Norris wants revenge. With his fists and karate kicks. Nice pace and on to the huge shootout final. And that's how a good action movie should be. The only things we're still missing are the VHS tracking stripes and Norris' mustache.
