"In the African heat, one woman stands alone"
In a West African country, a white family has been growing coffee for three generations. When things get unsettled by a civil war, Maria, the mother of the family, refuses to leave the plantation and give up the harvest. To her, that's a sign of weakness. However, Maria's ex-husband and father of her children, André, plans to go back to France with his new wife, he will do anything for that, including betraying Maria.
