Steven Russell is happily married to Debbie and works for the local police force until a dramatic car accident prompts a rethink of his life. Steven realizes he's gay and decides to live life to the fullest, even if it means breaking the law. Steven's new extravagant lifestyle includes scams and fraud, which ultimately land him in jail. Here he meets the sensitive Phillip Morris. His dedication to free Phillip from prison and create the perfect life with him drives Steven to commit one impossible scam after another, often with success.

A nice movie, except for the gay scenes, I'm not really looking forward to that, but all in all, it's entertaining.

Nice movie with a good story.
Jim Carrey went to great lengths for this role, he lost 16 kg and it shows. He also went quite far as a straight actor in some of the gay scenes. A role that both actors manage to portray believably.
The combination of humor and drama was nicely dosed and I thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout the film.
3.5 stars

Reasonable film about a cop who changes his life after a car accident. A good story and the film also has a promising introduction. The romantic aspect takes the momentum out of the film and is simply less captivating than the main character's scams. Jim Carrey is well cast. A small 3.0 stars.
