Lønsj plot
There is hope, but not for many. Lønsj is a multi-plot drama about five people who all live in the same neighborhood Majorstuen in Oslo. While Christer is doing the laundry, he suddenly thinks of his rent money that is still in his shirt and in an attempt to save this money he pulls a plug from the washing machine. When it comes back in, an old man dies and his daughter, Leni, is alone for the first time in her life. When Heidi, a new mother, wants to do her laundry, she discovers that all the machines have stopped. She is in a hurry and therefore has to bring wet clothes. In Scandinavia it is an important value that every individual takes responsibility for their own life. Lønsj is a mosaic film in which all characters painfully fail and have to bear the consequences of their own stupid behavior.
The film has some great dialogue and a pile of painful moments that are tragicomic at their best. Despite its short length and the fact that I watched the film with fascination from start to finish, it is just not convincing as a whole. The very gloomy atmosphere leaves you as a viewer with a bad feeling and the biggest criticism is that it all feels a bit aimless in the end, but let's be honest, that is appropriate when you make a film about people who completely lose track in different ways. are.
Nice film but not a job for eternity.
