"It's time to travel forward."
Seven years after the events of Donnie Darko, the now 18-year-old Samantha Darko (Daveigh Chase) leaves for Hollywood with her best friend Corey in the hopes of making it there. The journey is soon cut short when the two have a car breakdown in the middle of a village in a desert. When a meteorite hits nearby, Samantha starts experiencing bizarre visions.
