Aru Kengo no Shogai plot

Kyoto, 1599. Heihachiro Komaki is a decorated war hero, currently engaged in law enforcement in his hometown and teaching children calligraphy. He has a great talent for improvisation and literature, but unfortunately has a gigantic nose, which means that the ladies are definitely not enthusiastic about him. His heart lies with the unattainable princess Chiyo, the most beautiful woman in Kyoto, whom he has known since childhood. But she falls for the handsome, incapable Jurota, and asks if Komaki can't protect him. Jurota also turns out to be completely unromantic, so Komaki has to help him with that too.
